Belleville Real Estate: BASICS IN HAVING A HOUSE WARMING PARTY
Belleville Real Estate: Just moved in? Showcase your exquisite dream house to your friends and family by hosting a housewarming celebration.
Throwing a housewarming party could be as exciting and overwhelming as deciding to tie the knot, preparing for your wedding day or having your firstborn… Having a house that you can call a home that you own is something that, if not all, most of us would consider as a dream come true. So make sure that your housewarming party is well prepared..
What you need to do:
Create a checklist & a guestlist. Your checklist should include everything that you think you’ll need for the party in details. No. 1 in your list should be the recipes.. Have the minor details like the scented candles, invitations, etc. listed so as to make sure you’ll not miss them. Keep the checklist at hand as the party approaches.
Do the laundering of bedsheets, curtains, mats, table covers, etc. at least 3 days before the party. Clean the entire house. Remember that your showing your fancy new home to your friends, so everything should be spick and span.
Prepare the food the day of the party. It’s your choice if you want to serve a full course meal or just cocktails. Just make sure that you’ll have more than enough food & drinks. Organize serving pieces and platter as necessary.
Do last-minute touches such as lighting candles, turning on the music to set the mood or set out appetizers just before your guests come.
You might find it necessary to give each of your guests name tags if people at the party don’t know each other.
Make drinks and pour wine while guests are eating appetizers. Be sure to have drinks replenished as needed throughout the party.Serve the main meal if you’re having one.
Do tours of your new home and at least share with your guests the things that you love about the house. Show people around yourself or if you’re too busy, you can have them explore your new home on their own.
Lastly, do not forget to express grattitude to the guests for coming.
The most important thing is that you’ll be enjoying the whole time, so you’ll keep a picture of the event in mind that you will forever cherish as you start a new life in a new home. Also, remember that, you don’t really have to own the largest, most expensive, grandest, finest house in the world. The times and moments that you will be spending in your home with your family and friends, parties that you will be celebrating and making it a point that your home is going to be your comfort zone and the only place that you would always long and love to come home to.
